Hi, I'm Brian 👋

I'm an engineer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn State in 2012, I migrated below the Mason Dixon to Florida, then North Carolina in 2014. I started my career in manufacturing, but quickly discovered that I had a secret addiction to programming.

I started by writing simple VBA scripts to make my job easier, then progressed into using cooler languages like Python, Ruby and JavaScript to build hobby apps. I knew I needed to make a career of coding, so in 2019 I finagled my way into a full-time job as a software engineer at Allstate. In 2021, I transitioned to Zendesk where I now work as a senior software engineer!

I love music

Particularly, punk rock music. I play guitar, bass and drums - I was also in an acapella group in college.

I love beer

But not too much. I frequent local Charlotte breweries with friends and family - Wooden Robot is my favorite.

I enjoy travelling

Whether it's visiting friends in other states or visiting new countries with my wife, it's all fun.

I code often

Maybe too much some days...but I love honing my programming skills and learning about the vast world of technology.
